GENERAL ASSISTANCE | CAPITAL TOWNSHIP GENERAL ASSISTANCE OFFICE
Monthly grants available for childless individuals, 18-61 years old, who are unable to work due to a serious injury, surgery or a serious medical condition. Benefits are to assist with everyday living expenses. If eligible, clients may receive up to $350 per month in financial assistance.

Office hours: Mon-Fri: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Intake for assistance programs: Mon-Fri: 8:30 am - 11:00 am, 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm.
Eligibility
- Resident of area served. - Legal resident of the United States. - Ages 18-61. - No children (18 & under) in the home. - No income coming into household (individuals considered not employable). *Criteria for being considered "not employable": - 9 month limit with a pending SSI or SSDI claim. - Unable to work due to serious injury or surgery; need verification from a physician. - Unable to work due to a serious medical condition; need verification from a physician.
