SASS provides the following services for children and youth: - Crisis intervention. - Short-term stabilization where a child is at risk of self-harm, or harming others. - Individual and family psychotherapy/counseling. - Mental health assessment. - Case management and resource linkage assistance. - Psychiatric services.

Eligibility

- Children/adolescents under age 21 who are currently enrolled in a medical program through the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, including those enrolled in Medicaid Managed Care Organizations. - Children/adolescents under the guardianship of DCFS while already hospitalized for psychiatric reasons. - Children/adolescents enrolled in a medical program from the Department of Public Aid. - Children/adolescents under 18 being considered for public-funded psychiatric hospitalization (Uninsured/Underinsured).
