Hyde Park Neighborhood Club offers the Outdoor Explorers Camp for youth ages 4th-8th who love to spend time adventuring outdoors and exploring the natural world. Camp will take place entirely outdoors, with the exception of inclement weather days, and will include frequent walks to Jackson Park. Youth will pick berries, construct shelters, tell stories, watch birds, solve puzzles, study bugs, build campfires, and grow as a team. Weekly field trips to Forest Preserves of Cook County sites will culminate in an overnight camping trip. Outdoor Explorers will grow their confidence, curiosity, and skills in navigating the natural world. While registration is weekly, participation in multiple sessions is highly encouraged.
