Fire Prevention Information | Burns Recovered

- Youth Fire Prevention Team/Fire Setter Intervention Program: The child and their parent or guardian participate in a risk assessment to help identify a child's level of firesetting behavior. Based on the unique situation of each child, a customized four-hour educational program is created for the child and his/her significant others to prevent further experimentation with fire. - Education for Schools: Safety and prevention education provides youth with information, strategies, and skills to identify and avoid high risk situations so that they can prevent burn and fire injuries. - Education for Seniors: Offer seniors a burn prevention presentation which covers burn statistics, degrees of burn, common ways seniors are burned (with stories from local Burn Unit) and safety and prevention tips and strategies.
