Muslim Women Resource Center staff work with the Illinois Department of Human Services to break down language and cultural barriers and help clients identify and access benefits available to them through local, state, and federal programs. MWRC staff travel to IDHS offices to provide on-site interpretation for clients applying for assistance, including AABD, All Kids, Food Stamps, Medicaid, TANF, SSI, and WIC Clinics.
