Lawndale AMACHI Mentoring Program's (Chicago LAMP's) recidivism reduction program serves 15 youth between the ages of 12 and 18 who are involved in the juvenile justice system. Youth participate in a two-hour mentoring session each week in addition to a two-hour group meeting. In addition to the regular mentor responsibilities, these mentors also help make sure that mentees attend all probation or parole appointments and work with the case manager to identify employment opportunities.
