People First of St. Louis: Participants with developmental disabilities learn what their rights are, how to access services and information in the government/community and how to be strong self-advocates. Activities includes monthly meetings, various opportunities to travel to Jefferson City, Missouri to educate legislators and training on speaking to legislators, writing persuasive letters, identifying/reporting neglect or abuse and being an informed voter.
