Home Repair Program

Chicagoland Habitat for Humanity helps income-challenged homeowners with repairs and home maintenance through the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI). Participating affiliates perform a limited range of housing interventions based on the particular needs of the qualified property. Homeowners will agree to pay for the repairs through a deferred, zero-interest loan.

Application process

Visit the website to download and complete an application. After confirming that the applicant meets basic requirements regarding ownership and income, an initial inspection of the home is executed to determine the scope of work and overall viability of the proposed project.
