Breastfeeding coalition assists women and their support persons to choose and continue breastfeeding as optimum infant nutrition. Provides support to the breastfeeding family, works to increase public awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding, and promotes accurate breastfeeding information and support to health professionals and the community. Hosts conferences and arranges for breastfeeding tents at public events. Can refer to local direct support groups and providers.
