Application process
(1) The caregiver should call the DCFS hotline at 1-800-252-2873. Tell them that you are caring for your relative’s child, the child is not being abused or neglected but you want help, and you want to be referred to the Extended Family Support Program. (2) Visit https://dcfs.illinois.gov/loving-homes/grandparents-and-older-caregivers-raising-children.html or email the EFSP coordinator at [email protected] for more information.
