Eligibility

Open to households with income within 60% of the SMI, a person who participates or has family members who participate in certain other benefit programs, such as SNAP, SSI, TANF, automatically meets the eligibility requirement

Required documents

Proof of household gross income for the last 30 days, current energy bill, Social Security number for everyone in the household, TANF medical card for anyone receiving benefits, rental agreement or receipt that shows the amount of rent

Provides a LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program) provides assistance with a utility bill. Applications are accepted as funding is available. Income must fall within 60% of the SMI. Call for an appointment.

**This program is not designed to pay a household's total energy costs. The program will provide supplemental assistance based on several factors. This is a one-time payment to your energy provider.
