Designed to prevent entrance into foster care and provide comprehensive support with the guardianship process. Services include assistance to obtain guardianship, help accessing the Child Only Grant and other entitlements and benefits, support enrolling children in school, referrals to additional services, cash assistance to meet the child’s basic needs, and financial aid to cover child care expenses in licensed child care centers, private family child care homes, or in-home care settings. These services aim to support caregivers who are providing care for their relative’s children without formal involvement from the Department of Children and Family Services.
