Medical & Legal Advocacy

The YWCA provides 24-hour Medical and Criminal Justice services to survivors of sexual violence. The YWCA Medical and Criminal Justice Program helps to reduce the trauma and help with the healing process. Advocates will provide emotional support and information during the medical and criminal justice procedures to sexual assault survivors, non-offending significant others, and non-offending family members. Medical advocates provide 24-hour support to survivors. Legal advocates provide support through police and court proceedings.
