Free legal services are available to people who qualify based on their income, live in the DuPage County area, or have a case in DuPage County. These services require a referral from another legal aid provider. They focus on family issues like divorce, parental responsibilities, parenting time, child support and maintenance defense, protection orders for domestic violence, and guardianship cases.

Application process
(1) Call the main number for a telephone screening, or arrange an in-person screening. (2) During telephone screening callers will be asked a series of questions. (3) Certain documents will be required to verify answers. (4) Those who qualify for assistance will be assigned a staff attorney or volunteer lawyer.
