Eligibility

Serves men, women, and children in the following situations: -- Currently homeless -- Facing homelessness due to an eviction notice -- Living in overcrowded and unsafe conditions (i.e. due to drugs/alcohol or emotional, verbal, physical, sexual abuse) -- An individual who is living with family or friends and have been told they must leave -- Individuals being discharged from psychiatric hospitalization or treatment for substance abuse -- Individuals who have lost their jobs and can no longer afford their apartment or house -- IDOC referrals of parolees who are from the Central Illinois region who desire to be reintegrated into their community

Must visit during intake times; Emergency intakes outside of those times are reserved for avoiding life-threatening weather or for families with minors, but are only available if HSH has staff available; After-hours, call 2-1-1
