FAMILY-TO-FAMILY: NAMI SIGNATURE MENTAL HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM | NAMI CHAMPAIGN

Free 8-session class taught by trained NAMI members. The Family to Family curriculum focuses on: - Schizophrenia. - Bipolar disorder (manic depression). - Clinical depression. - Panic disorder. - Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). The course discusses the clinical treatment of these illnesses and teaches the knowledge and skills that family members need to cope more effectively. Classes are offered twice a year. NAMI Champaign County also provides monthly educational presentations and can provide an in-service for teachers and staff to help identify the symptoms of mental illness in children.
