Legal Assistance for Renters - Law Center for Better Housing - Main Office
LCBH attorneys provide eviction defense along with pre-eviction assistance, intervening when a renter's housing stability or safety is threatened by illegal lockouts, utility shutoffs, discrimination, retaliation, or other issues. They also help renters facing issues due to living in a foreclosed building, dealing with condition issues, or seeking to unionize. LCBH social workers work with clients to meet needs related to financial and longer-term housing stability.
