Clients must go through a screening process over the phone by calling (773) 921-3200.

Fees

All clients will pay a $25 service fee. They use a sliding fee scale. The client's monthly income determines what percent of the moving company fee they pay.

H.O.M.E (Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly) works with professional moving companies to provide subsidized moving service to qualifying seniors moving within the City of Chicago. The move coordinator will first visit the client to conduct an income assessment and a moving assessment to determine the type of services that are needed (hoarding, general move, etc.). The rest of the move will be completed by the moving company.
