Through a partnership between the National Association of Counties and local counties, a free prescription discount card program provides residents with cards that offer an average of 24% savings off the retail price of prescription drugs. The card is for people who do not have insurance or those who have prescriptions not covered by insurance. The card may be used regardless of age or income. Cards may be printed from the website. Most retail pharmacies in the county are participating. Cardholders present it at their pharmacy whenever getting a prescription filled that is not covered by insurance.
