Must be a resident of DeKalb County, must provide a certified copy of their DD Form 214, applicants receiving financial aid from other governmental agencies, whether County, State, Federal or Township programs, are usually not eligible.

Offers to help veterans maneuver through the Department of Veterans Affairs in regards to:
- Healthcare.
- Disability Claims.
- Pension Claims.
- Education.
Also helps surviving family members with their dealings with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Financial assistance is provided to Military Veterans who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. This assistance is designed to help veterans and their families, who are in need of shelter. All assistance is paid by voucher to the vendor.
