Application process

(1) Call the hotline for assistance (2) Before calling, make sure that you have all relevant documents with you, including any letters or documents from a court, any relevant documents from the VA, and any relevant military service record documents (3) Call the hotline when you have sufficient time to talk about your legal issue with an attorney. The hotline can experience high call volume (4) When calling, listen carefully to the voice prompts (5) If you have to wait, after 10 minutes a prompt will allow you to enter a phone number to receive a call back (6) When your call is answered you will be speaking with an attorney. A typical call lasts around 35 minutes.
