Urban Warriors
Urban Warriors pairs some of the strongest veterans with youth exposed to violence in Chicago's most dangerous neighborhoods. Together, these incredible groups discuss and process their shared experiences with violence, develop and share coping skills, and identify the strengths they have developed and how they can channel them to benefit their communities. Through a trauma-informed approach, this program fosters a unique supportive relationship between two groups of people that understand each other in ways most could never comprehend.
