Electric Service Payment Assistance | COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP OF LAKE COUNTY - Energy Assistance Program

Offers application assistance for the following home-energy and weatherization discount programs: Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP): Helps low-income households pay for home-heating costs. This includes natural gas, propane, electric bills, and furnace assistance. Households facing shutoff may receive immediate help at emergency service sites. May qualify for additional assistance if furnace is deemed inoperable or unsafe. Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP): Offers an affordable payment plan based on household income. Also offers chance to eliminate past-due balances. Share the Warmth, North Shore Gas customers: Provides heating grants to limited and fixed-income households. Eligible customers can receive grants of up to $200 on their bills. Weatherization: Offers to make homes of low-income families more energy-efficient. Assesses the needs of the home and recommends improvements. Services includes: - Attic and wall insulation - Air sealing - Window and door weatherization - Furnace repair or replacement
