NEW HORIZONS TRANSITIONAL LIVING | VETERANS PATH TO HOPE

A transitional living center for homeless veterans who want a chance to rebuild their lives. Many veterans enroll after undergoing intensive substance abuse treatment. Clients must undergo a screening process and abide by all rules while a part of the center. Graduates are encouraged to enroll in TLS-Aftercare, a program that offers ongoing support and crisis intervention within the community.

Eligibility

- Veteran with non-dishonorable discharge. - Homeless. - Must be drug and alcohol free for at least 30 days and be able to pass testing. - Pass a criminal background check. Sex offenders and some violent crimes will not be eligible. - Must seek employment and work with a TLS employment specialist to become employed. - Must attend training programs and group sessions at TLS property if not employed. - If in addiction recovery, must attend three outside AA meetings. - Must have a physical and psychological evaluation. - Provide proof of a negative TB test within the first 30 days of enrollment.
