The Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation (GAGDC) works to foster and promote the revitalization of the low-to-moderate income communities that they serve using comprehensive community development strategies. Since 2001, the GAGDC has worked in all, or parts of, Ashburn, Auburn Gresham, Englewood, Greater Grand Crossing, Washington Heights, West Englewood, and West Chatham.This agency also refers eligible clients needing home furniture to the Chicago Furniture Bank (CFB), which does not accept walk-ins or calls for furniture requests. Individuals requesting furniture may contact Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation staff to discuss further. GAGDC staff will work to assess the client's needs and schedule an appointment on their behalf.
