Individuals have to call for an intake appointment, where they will fill out a short application alongside other paperwork. Individuals are eligible for financial assistance based on income. All young adults are welcome to apply, however preference is given to graduates of the center's school age program.

Description

Center for Independence provides motor training programs based on the principles of Conductive Education for children with physical disabilities. Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Conductive Education Teachers work with the participant to build upon motor skills, strength, endurance, self-determination, and vocational training. This program helps young adults learn skills to maximize their participation in the community. This program's philosophy is to improve engagement in activities around home, vocation, and leisure.
