Description
The People's Music School provides tuition-free music education to school-aged children in Chicago who would otherwise not be able to afford it. Based on a student's age, they offer classes in general music, instrumental studies, music theory, and a variety of ensembles. Programs run after school Monday through Friday and on the weekend. Students enrolled in programs will:Attend after-school classes 2 days a week for up to 4 hoursParticipate in performances throughout the school yearTake part in engaging masterclasses with guest artistsGain skills through participating in their intensive music program that will benefit them throughout their life
