4959 West Medill Avenue, Chicago, IL 60639
English
The waitlists for all 3 of their affordable housing buildings (Nathalie Salmon House, Pat Crowley House, and Blackhawk Manor) are currently open. Waitlist applications are available on their website: https://homeseniors.org/. The waitlists do not have a specific closing date set, but do not remain open on a continual basis (the closing of the waitlist depends on how many applications they are receiving).
For their private apartments, the rents are set at an affordable rate based off of 30% AMI. For their Senior Good Life Residence Program (which are their communal living options at Nathalie Salmon & Pat Crowley house), residents pay 75% of their income towards their rent, but this includes having their meals covered & supportive services & group activities available on site. H.O.M.E's housing options are intended for low-income households, but they cannot accommodate zero-income households.

Description
H.O.M.E. Intergenerational Housing is a progressive concept based on the idea that seniors should not be segregated from other generations and that people of all ages benefit from connecting with one another in daily life. H.O.M.E. owns and manages 78 apartments in three affordable intergenerational buildings where seniors choose between private apartments or, for those who desire more support and a family-like setting, Good Life Senior Residences. In H.O.M.E.'s buildings, all older adult residents have access to social services and engagement opportunities, and families with children and young adults live alongside older adults.
