FIRST RESPONDERS DOG PROGRAM | CIRCLE OF CHANGE DOG PROGRAMS

Provides free or low-cost dog training/handling classes for First Responders who are at a high risk of self-harm or suicide. Program is designed for individuals experiencing the symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues as a result of trauma.

Classes are designed to renew a sense of community and to increase self-reliance, confidence, and trust. Dog ownership is not required to participate, dogs are "loaned" for the duration of each class. Participants may choose to bring their own dog to classes, as long as it meets the safety requirements for the program. Participants meet once a week to interact with each other and train dogs.
