Offered to patients of all ages and is often ordered for the patient who is too weak or too ill to travel to the hospital or outpatient clinic.

Infusion Services may include

- Initiation of home infusion therapy, and teaching the care of infusion sites, lines and medication administration.

  • Initial doses of approved medications.
  • Educate patient and caregiver on safe administration of medications, possible side effects and possible drug interactions.
  • Instruct patient and caregiver in care of all types of infusion lines and medication pumps.
  • Maintenance of PICC and Central Line.
  • Monitor patient's condition and response to treatment.
  • Consultation and review of medication profiles.
  • Preparation, dispensing and monitoring of medication orders.
