Appointment RequiredTo take part in the program, participants must work off the value of their food stamp benefit before working additional hours in order to earn cash assistance, a maximum of $294 per month. Referrals are only accepted from the Illinois Department of Human Services.

Universal Family Connection's SNAP Program offers opportunities to gain experience in customer service and earn cash assistance. Each participant is required to take a 5-day customer service training upon entering the program. Participants of this program are provided transportation, special clothing, and access to a job bank with current employment opportunities.
