To be eligible, the head of household, cohead, or spouse must be at least 55 years old. Additionally, the applicant's household income may not exceed the very low-income limit (50% AMI), which is as follows: $38,650 for a one-person household and $44,150 for a two-person household. The maximum occupancy standard is 2 people per bedroom. Families with more than 2 people will not qualify. Families are assigned a unit size based on the HACC's subsidy standards.

The Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) will be re-opening its site-based wait lists for one-bedroom project-based voucher (PBV) units for seniors age 55 and older at the following locations: Franklin Towers - 9535 W. Franklin Avenue, Franklin Park, IL 60131Henrich House - 1301 Ashland Avenue, Des Plaines, IL 60016All completed applications will be accepted, but only 150 applicants will be placed on the waitlist. A computer-generated lottery system will be used to determine which applicants are selected and the order of applicants on the waiting list. For those selected, applicants who are currently on the HACC's Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program wait list will receive a preference.
