Offers a summary of assistance programs through Troy Township: - General Assistance: Provides monthly payments to help residents meet basic needs. - Emergency Assistance: Available to qualified individuals and families facing emergencies that are work related or life threatening such as eviction, utility disconnection, and transportation. - Salvation Army Service Extension Program: Funds available once in any 12-month period for residents which also may be helped using Salvation Army welfare guidelines. - Nicor Sharing: One-time annual grants are given, with no requirement to be paid back to qualified residential customers to make payments to Nicor Gas on residents's behalf.
