Utility Payment Application Assistance - Operation Brotherhood - Main Office

Operation Brotherhood remotely provides assistance with applying to CEDA's various utility bill payment and energy services programs. This includes the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Peoples Gas Share the Warmth (Chicago residents only), City of Chicago Utility Billing Relief (UBR) (Chicago residents only), Home Weatherization, and Energy Saving Kits.Beginning October 1, 2024, applications will re-open for the following eligible individuals and households: Older adults (age 60 and older), individuals with a disability, households with at least one child age 5 years and under, households that are disconnected from their utilities/energy vendors, have a disconnect date within 7 days or have less than 25% in their propane tank. On November 1, 2024, all other income-eligible households can start applying for LIHEAP assistance.
