Training may be conducted at the MCHS Care Partner Training Environment, a 1,500 square foot home simulation complete with bedroom, kitchen, and living room located in St. Louis, MO. The model home provides real-life applications of MCHS methods and strategies. Initial consultations in the MCHS training environment can provide a safe space for family members to speak confidentially about the strains of caregiving without their loved one present. This facility is designed to display strategies and assistive devices to care partners.⯠In addition, MCHS provides training and education to the community and senior service and healthcare professionals. Thisâ¯includesâ¯training workshops and health fairs in the community where current and future family care partners participateâ¯and continuing educationâ¯in collaboration with area health systems and residential facilities to provide training in caregiving techniques to medical professionals.â¯
