COMMUNICABLE DISEASE CONTROL (CDC) | CHAMPAIGN-URBANA PUBLIC HEALTH DISTRICT

Identifies, investigates, and attempts to control disease outbreaks in the community. CUPHD Communicable Disease Investigator works with the state health department and local health care providers. Investigators conduct a confidential interview with persons diagnosed with an infectious disease that could lead to an outbreak. Interviews help confirm to the diagnosis, determine the source of infection, and limit the spread of the disease. Also offers bed bug identification. Individuals who are unsure if what they are seeing is a bed bug, may bring a bug in for identification.
