In Home Hospice Care | Lutheran Senior Services

Hospice Care is compassionate comfort care, as opposed to curative care, for people facing a terminal illness with a prognosis of six months or less, based on their physician’s estimate. Comfort care can include: • Care where the patient is most comfortable, whether a private home or a senior living community • Open and honest communication about the end-of-life process • Honoring of family traditions, faiths, and beliefs to meet people where they are on their spiritual journey • Support for family members- listening, grieving, and celebrating life
