The Illinois Child Care Assistance Program makes it possible for families who qualify to receive financial assistance in paying for child care. Parents must meet the State of Illinois' income and family size guidelines.

Application process

Download the Child Care Application forms on the website. Make sure to read all instructions and provide all necessary documentation. You must have a scheduled appointment to receive an in-person consultation for CCAP assistance. Phone appointments are only available on Wednesdays. Walk-in service is available at our Damen, Chatham, and Lawrence locations only. Homewood is closed to the public - no walk-in service is available.

Eligibility

The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps parents that are in school or working pay for child care. Eligibility is based on gross income and family size. Use the Eligibility Calculator on the Illinois Department of Human Services to see if you qualify.
