DD-214 or military discharge showing character of discharge and dates of active service The veteran must have lived in the state of Missouri for at least 180 days at some time during his or her life Persons entitled to retirement pay as a result of 20 years creditable service with National Guard or Reserves are eligible U.S. citizens who served in the armed forces of a government allied with the U.S. in a war also may be eligible A marriage certificate is required for spousal benefits Qualified spouses and/or unmarried dependent children under the age of 21 years or adult children who are mentally or physically incapable of self-support may be eligible
