Home Care Program

Hanul Home Care services are an alternative to inhabiting a long-term living facility and allow you or your loved ones to remain in your home. This program helps older adults with household tasks, meal planning and preparation, bathing, laundry, cleaning, dusting, shopping, and health management. Hanul provides services through the Community Care Program (CCP) to eligible seniors along with having private pay services available.

Eligibility

To qualify under CCP, participants must meet the following criteria: Be 60 years old or older; Are either U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens within the specific categories; Illinois residents; Have non-exempt assets of $17,500 or less; Have an assessed need for long-term care (to be at risk for nursing facility placement as measured by the Determination of Need (DON) assessment).

Hanul Family Alliance is a community organization that offers a wide range of programs and services for Korean immigrants and the general public in Chicago, suburban Cook County, and Lake County. The programs and services are available in Korean and English, including immigration services, public benefits application assistance, social services, mental health counseling, Home Care (IDOA's Community Care Program), community health programs including Memory Cafe, nutrition program, Home Delivered Meals, and ESL classes.
