Responsibilities include: - Prosecuting criminal matters. - Serves as legal counsel to the county government in civil matters. - Provides legal advice to all elected and appointed county officials and the County Board on matters of official business. - The office also contains a Victim Witness Coordinator who is in charge of processing requests for orders of protection and addressing the needs and rights of victims of criminal offenses.
