COMMUNITY CARE PROGRAM | SENIOR SERVICES OF WILL COUNTY

Helps seniors stay in their own homes by providing in-home and community based services. Aims to help seniors maintain their independence as an alternative to nursing home placement. Services include: - Adult Day Service: Provides respite for family caregivers. Includes health, medication supervision, personal care, and recreational/therapeutic activities. Nutritious lunches and snacks are provided, including for special diets. - Automated Medication Dispenser Service (AMD): Portable mechanical system to dispense or remind about medications. - Emergency Home Response System (EHRS): 24/7 emergency communication link to outside assistance. - In-Home Service: Assistance with household tasks, such as cleaning, planning and preparing meals, doing laundry, shopping, and running errands. Homemakers can also help with personal care, such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and following special diets. - Senior Companion: Scheduled visits by an older adult to provide friendship, companionship, and social activities.
