Application process

(1) Applications to open up a case at the Commission may be mailed or brought in person to the Commission's Chicago office. (2) All visitors to this location must show a valid photo ID. (3) A case is first tried by an arbitrator, whose decision may be reviewed by a panel of three commissioners. (4) The case may then be appealed to the circuit court, Appellate Court, and Illinois Supreme Court.
