The county clerk's office has the following functions: - Writing and maintaining County Board minutes and other county records. - Maintains election information and voter registration. - Maintains vital records, including birth, death, and marriage/civil union records, and issues marriage licenses and civil union licenses. - Computes tax rates and handle redemption of delinquent taxes.

Eligibility

Birth Certificates: - Must be person listed on record (if over the age of 18) or a parent whose name appears on the birth certificate. Death Certificates: - Persons with a property right or personal interest. Contact for more information. - Legal representatives. Marriage License/Civil Union License: - Individuals age 18+. If 16 or 17, parent consent must be given by both natural parents.

Fee

Birth Certificates: - $19 for the first birth certificate, $8 for each copy of the same certificate purchased at the same time. Death Certificates: - $23 for the first death certificate, $12 for each copy of the same certificate purchased at the same time. Marriage License/Civil Union License: - $50 for license. Copies of Marriage License/Civil Union License: - $15 for each certified copy of the marriage license/civil union license, $8 for each copy of the same license purchased at the same time.
