Individuals must call to schedule an intake appointment, where they will complete a short application along with other paperwork. Individuals are eligible for financial assistance based on income.

Center for Independence provides a school-age program where children and teens with Cerebral Palsy (CP) are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and develop an I can attitude. The therapeutic team and the family focus on improving functional daily life skills, strength, endurance, and mobility. The program helps identify the best ways to navigate and move. It focuses on improving walking, sitting, eating, and toileting, with an emphasis on social skills and increasing self-reliance in school and the community.6-12 years old students meet 2 afternoons per week, and students 13+ meet 1 afternoon per week for 3 hours.

The Center for Independence offers motor training services to individuals with cerebral palsy and other conditions that limit mobility. Other programs include parenting classes, social work services, and vocational training. Programs are led by physical therapists, occupational therapists, and Conductive Education teachers.
