College Access and Success Program - Minds Matter Chicago - Main Office

Minds Matter Chicago is a college access and success program that supports high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds as they prepare for college, careers, and lifelong success. Through a rigorous, multi-year program, students receive individualized support designed to help them reach their full potential.Each student is paired with two volunteer mentors who provide consistent guidance, encouragement, and accountability throughout high school. Mentors help students set goals, strengthen academic skills, navigate challenges, and build confidence as they prepare for college and beyond.Students also receive comprehensive college access support, including college exploration, admissions guidance, essay coaching, financial aid and scholarship assistance, and support throughout the college application process. Through these services, students gain exposure to a wide range of colleges and are empowered to make informed decisions about their futures.In addition, Minds Matter offers workshops and enrichment opportunities focused on leadership development, communication, critical thinking, and career exploration. These experiences help students build important life skills, expand their networks, and discover new opportunities.
