Provides state-mandated and County services relating to animal control and animal protection. Offers such as: Low cost Spay/Neuter Assistance to qualified pet owners; Low-Cost Pet Rabies Vaccinations through Lake County veterinarians (All dogs and cats 4 months and older in Lake County are required to be vaccinated against rabies and registered.); and Microchips. Also offers a variety of other services, which include: - Emergency rescue of injured and sick stray animals - Interim shelter and care for stray and unwanted animals and transport to adoption centers - Maintain a lost and found pet database - Reuniting lost pets with owners - Investigations are done regarding nuisance complaints, allegations of animal cruelty or neglect, as well as reports of stray, roaming or injured animals; or dangerous, vicious or biting animals - Present educational programs to schools and community and civic groups For additional Rabies, Tag, How to submit a lost or found pet & Partner Information, please visit the website.
