Application process
The waitlists for each of their buildings is currently open, and as of right now remains open on a continual basis. Interested applicants can call the CJE Senior Life main office number at (773) 508-1000 to have a waitlist application mailed to them, and they can indicate which buildings they are interested in (they can be on the waitlist for all 4 buildings if they choose).
Fees
For each building, residents pay 30% of their income towards their rent, and each of their properties are able to accommodate zero income.

Description
CJE SeniorLife's affordable housing communities offer residents the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle with ready access to necessary services, and engaging activities in a safe setting. The four buildings on Chicago's north side and in Skokie each feature an on-site manager, maintenance staff, social service coordinators, and activity staff, of which several are fluent in Russian. They organize holiday events, and plan frequent outings for residents, including visits to museums, sporting events, and community presentations.To be able to successfully "live in place," residents and family members work with service coordinators to arrange necessary services; they can also mediate, educate, and advocate on the residents' behalf. If a resident's needs change, staff are ready to help, providing such services as transportation, home-delivered meals, and consumer assistance.The estimated waitlists for their buildings vary:Village Center building: 6 yearsSwartzberg building: 3-4 yearsKrasnow building: 7ish yearsRobineau building: 1-3 years (this building has the shortest wait times, but is also more of a shared living style, whereas the other buildings are private apartments)
