AUTISM SUPPORT PROGRAM | OPTIONS AND ADVOCACY FOR MCHENRY COUNTY
Autism Support Program is for families who have a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or suspects their child has ASD. This program will: - Connect families to diagnostic locations. - Build a families understanding of their child’s ASD. - Provided resources and referrals. - Create a service plan for the families short and long term goals. - Provide classroom observations, team consultations, and educational advocacy. - Offer Parent Support Group opportunities. - Support individuals with an ASD through game nights and other social opportunities. - Send out a monthly newsletter highlighting program, agency, and community events, autism news and research, family, and educational resources.
