PERSONAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM | DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER

Provides management training to people with disabilities on how to interview, hire, train, pay and fire (if needed) their personal assistant. Personal assistant management training will be provided to people with disabilities who are having problems, or who want to avoid problems, with their personal assistant upon their request. Provides orientation to people who want to become a personal assistant. Orientation will include and not be limited to information on what a personal assistant is, introduction to various disabilities, methods of payment, ethics, etc. Personal assistant orientation is held monthly at DRC or a location within the service area as needed.
